Mitchell was born and raised in Southern California, San Diego. He is the eldest of four, with three younger sisters. Mitchell served a mission for his church in New Jersey. He has lived in California, Colorado, Idaho, Arizona, New Jersey, and most recently, Utah. Mitchell graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho with a major in History Education and a minor Theatre & Speech Education. Mitchell married his wife McKenzie in January 2019.
